For the Pony Up Challenge, you can ride, drive, or do groundwork with your horse(s) at least 25 times from February 15 - May 1st. Registration ends April 15th! Entrants will receive this beautiful rosette ribbon upon completion! 10 Entrants will win a $10 Big Dee's Gift Card and some other goodies from our sponsor! Simply Register Below, track your time spent working with your horse(s), and turn in your Activity Log by May 1st to earn your ribbon! Cost to participate - $40.00 Participants in this challenge will also have the chance to win other prizes for accomplishments along the way. We will keep you updated about prizes as we go! Rules:
*You must complete 25 activities with your horse(s) and log them on the attached log.
*No gain will be made by turning in more than 25 activities. Please do not rush through them at yours or your horse's expense.
*ALL DISCIPLINES AND BREEDS WELCOME!
*All Logs must be submitted by May 1st to be entered in the raffle. Logs may be turned in up until July 30 to still receive a ribbon.
*You may count riding, driving, groundwork (such as liberty work, long lining, showmanship, tricks, ground manners, etc.) towards this challenge. However, you may not count just hanging out with your horse, having snacks with your horse, or chores.
*You may use more than one horse to complete your activities. However, if you would like a ribbon for each horse, please register each horse separately.
*You may count more than one activity in a day. You can count 2 activities with the same horse (AM and PM) or you may count 3 activities total with more than one horse.
*This challenge is on the Honor System. Please be honest and responsible.
*We ask that most activities last at least 20 minutes but please remember to end on a good note, consider yours and the horse's conditioning, and consult with your trainer to determine what is best for you both.
*Please do not overwork a horse that is unfit, or do activities with an unsound horse or a horse that is inappropriate for the task. Use educated judgement or ask a professional's opinion if something seems off. Consider weather, footing, your horse's mood/temperament, etc. and stay SAFE!
*Please follow state and local guidelines and barn rules pertaining to COVID-19.
*By entering the Pony Up Challenge each participant who engages in equine activities as a part of this challenge assumes all responsibility and risk associated with engaging in equine activities. Saving Grace Farm is not liable for an injury to or the death of a participant in equine activities resulting from the inherent risks of equine activities. Each participant also assumes the risks and legal responsibility for injury, loss, damage to person(s) or property resulting from equine activities.
