PROJECTS & NEEDS
When it comes to our clients, no need is too small and no voice is too quiet to be heard.
Would you consider joining in our efforts to fill their needs?

HORSE DONATION INFORMATIONAt this time, Saving Grace is in need of specific horse types to help with our programs and therapeutic riding lessons. The program currently prefers to free lease horses, but will consider donations.
If interested in a Free Lease arrangement, we offer a trade in boarding a horse for their participation in the programs. Saving Grace will pasture board your horse and provide it with feed and hay in exchange for helping in the program. We typically ask owners to help with farrier and vaccinations as they would do in any boarding situation, but may consider waiving that option if the horse is an exceptional fit and the owner cannot do this. Horses should be very calm, not spooky, healthy, current on shots and coggins, and with no major issues that would impede walking and trotting. We will not accept lame, ill, or injured animals into the program. We also do not accept horses that have been "put to pasture" for long periods of time. A trial period is required to ensure the horse likes the job and will fit into the program. Although most of our programming is at the walk and trot levels only, the job can be stressful for horses with sensitive personalities and physical issues of their own. This job can be very rewarding for the horse and they receive lots of love, attention, and care. However, it is not the right job for every horse. If you feel you have a horse that is right for this job, please call Janna at 704-209-6577. Thank you ! |

VOLUNTEERING
More than 100 people volunteer for us each year and make the difference in the lives of people with special needs.
"For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another."
~Galatians 5:13
At Saving Grace we believe that to give is to receive. Whether you prefer to help with fundraisers and special events, therapeutic riding lessons, general farm maintenance, or office assistance, we appreciate your help!
All volunteers should fill out an application below. Those that want to work with the horses, side-walk or lead horses in riding lessons are asked to complete an application and attend a volunteer training. No experience is necessary as you will have plenty of opportunity for hands-on learning through regular volunteer training opportunities. If you love horses and want to join the herd,or relish the idea of helping people with special needs, please use the form below.
The handbook is a great way to get started in learning about our organization. If you would like to print yours for easy reading, bring it to your orientation so you can follow along.
