Saving Grace Farm is now pleased to offer a special class for Homeschoolers!
This is basically a weekly Horsemanship lesson for Horse Crazy boys and girls who want to learn all about horses and enjoy spending time with them, but perhaps cannot commit to standard lessons. It is a great way to help your child decide if horses are for them and to allow them to learn valuable life lessons involving responsibility, empathy, respect, boundaries, communication, and more. Students will meet weekly on Tuesday at 10:00 am for approximately an hour, and will do learning activities through the month. They will ride TWICE each month, the rest of the club meetings will be doing educational activities, hands on groundwork with the horses, crafts, and games.
Ages: 5-13 (for students over 13 please consider our Standard lessons as they will get more ride time and attention)
Cost: $100/month ($80/month per child for multiple children from the same household) Due by the 1st of each month
Meets Tuesdays at 10:00 am September - April... we may take December off
Approximately an hour lesson*
Limited to 8 Children* First come First Served
We will consider adding another class time if there is a great deal of interest, otherwise we can put you on a waiting list and if someone drops out during the year we can let you know.
In this class your child will learn all types of horsey stuff like:
No credits or makeups will be given for missed meetings. Meetings held rain or shine. Cancellations for inclement weather will be posted on our Facebook page. Please check there for updates.
**For individuals with special needs or disabilities, please use our Therapeutic Riding Application. Club attendees must be able to participate in group activities, follow directions, ride and work without one on one assistance, and communicate their needs for their safety in this activity. If you have a child with special needs that likes horses or that wants to ride, please check out our Therapeutic Riding Program.
